The Fifth International Symposium on Environmental Hydraulics (ISEH V) will be held in Tempe, Arizona, the Grand Canyon State, from 4-7 December 2007. The “Hydro-Epidemiological Futures” workshop will be held in conjunction with the Symposium from 2 - 4 December, 2007.

The Symposium and Workshop are being hosted jointly by Arizona State University and the University of Arizona under the auspices of the International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR).

The Symposium will focus on basic research on a wide range of environmental hydraulics topics. A session on a retrospective on recent natural hydraulics-related catastrophes and a workshop on hydro-epidemiological issues will also be featured.

A Registration  form, for the symposium and the workshop is included on the website. This form should be submitted electronically. In fact, all communications with regard to the Symposium including the submission of abstracts and papers should be handled electronically

  • The symposium will begin with registration during the late afternoon of December 4, 2007, followed by a reception at the ASU Art Museum.
  • The symposium banquet will be held on Thursday evening at a local resort.
  • The symposium will close by 6 PM on Friday, December 7, 2007.
  • The workshop will begin on the afternoon of December 2, 2007 and finish by noon on December 4, 2007.
