The workshop will precede the ISEH V Conference and will serve as a forum for discussion of the hydro-epidemiological challenges of the future, with physicians, principally epidemiologists, hydraulics researchers from research intensive and developing countries and other individuals of varied backgrounds (e.g., policy makers, environmental groups, university faculty and students and the public) all participating in the debate and deliberations.  A plenary session of the ISEH V Conference will be devoted to the workshop.  The Workshop is being organized jointly by Dr. Roger Falconer, Halcrow Professor of Water Management, Cardiff University, United Kingdom and Professor David Kay of the Centre for Research into Environment and Health of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK.

An Organizing Committee chaired by Dr, Falconer and Technical Committee chaired by Dr. Kay will be named within the next several months.  Both committees will include representation from developing and developed countries.  Suggestions for membership on either of these committees is welcomed and should be sent by e-mail to both Dr. Falconer and/or Dr. Kay.
