HYDRALAB III: Large-Scale Experiments and Composite Modelling. Volume 49, Supplement 1, 2011.

In this Supplementary Issue nine papers in the field of coastal hydraulics and hydraulic engineering are published. They are based on large-scale experiments carried out in the Large-Scale Wave flume of LIM/UPC, Spain, the Large Oscillating Water Tunnel (LOWT) of Deltares, The Netherlands, and the “Grosse Wellen-Kanal” (GWK) of Hannover, Germany. One paper presents an overview of composite modelling, as elaborated in the joint research project CoMIBBS-Composite Modelling of the Interactions between Beaches and Structures. For more information, click here.

IAHR Kuwait International Summit on Advances in Oil Spill Modelling

The IAHR Working Group on Oil Spill Modelling with the sponsorship of KISR and KOC has organized this Summit to present and discuss the state-of-the-art in modelling in oil spills and identify key needs for future research. Thailand floods: Bangkok braced as drainage begins

Many districts of the Thai capital have been inundated as floodwater form the Chao Phraya river has drained  through the city's canals to the sea.
Thailand is facing its worst floods in decades with more than 360 people dead and a third of all provinces inundated. Read more.
